 Is the website secure? Absolutely. Our donation site ensures both your privacy and security. You can be confident that your information will be kept safely. Is my donation tax deductible? Yes. All donations are tax deductible. Donors will receive a written acknowledgement of their gift for tax purposes. Selfhelp Community Services is registered with the State of New York as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Can I direct my gift to a particular Selfhelp program? Yes. Please indicate your preference in the comments section of our online donation page, or if replying by mail or fax, in the section provided on the downloadable form. Can I make a gift in honor or memory of someone? Yes, of course! Such gifts are a beautiful way to remember a special occasion. Individuals or loved ones that you choose to remember will be notified immediately by letter of your thoughtful gift. Can I make a donation of stock? A donation of stock allows you to make a contribution while reducing your taxable income. Selfhelp's sample stock transfer form. What is the Monthly Giving Club? The Monthly Giving Club is an easy way for a donor to make regular contributions by credit card over a specific period of time. Donors establish an amount of money to be deducted from their credit card on a monthly basis for a set period of time, such as 10 payments of $50 = $500; or you may leave the time period open-ended authorizing Selfhelp to deduct the set amount from your credit card until instructed to stop. Donate Now I’m not comfortable making a donation online. Is there another way to give? Certainly. We have a downloadable donation form that can be mailed or faxed to Selfhelp Community Services. I’d like to remember Selfhelp in my will. How can I get the information I need? Thank you for including Selfhelp in your estate plans. We have prepared a fact sheet with pertinent information to assist you and your estate planner. Is there someone I can call to answer any other questions? Our Development staff would be happy to speak with you, Please feel free to contact us. Does Selfhelp share or sell donor lists to other organizations? No.
