Is the website secure for donations?
Absolutely. Our donation site ensures both your privacy and security. You can be confident that your information will be safely stored.

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Selfhelp Community Services, Inc. is registered with the State of New York as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. You will receive a written acknowledgement of your gift for tax purposes.

Can I direct my gift to a particular Selfhelp program?
Yes. Please indicate your preference in the please direct my donation to section of our online donation page. If you are sending your donation by mail, please use the downloadable form you will find our website. You can indicate your preferences on the form.

Can I honor the memory of my loved one with a gift to Selfhelp?
Yes, of course! Such gifts to our Caring for Generations Tribute Fund are a meaningful way to honor a loved one’s memory.

Can I make a donation of stock?
Yes. A donation of stock allows you to make a contribution while reducing your taxable income. Click here to view Selfhelp's sample stock transfer form.

Can I make a gift and spread my payments over time?
Our Monthly Giving Club is an easy way for you to make regular contributions over a specific period of time using your credit card. Donors establish the monthly contribution amount which is then deducted from their credit card for a set period of time, such as 12 monthly payments of $100 = $1,200. You also may leave the time period open-ended and authorize Selfhelp to deduct the set amount from your credit card until you instruct us to stop.

To join our Monthly Giving Club, please select "Monthly" under the Donation Frequency options on the online donation page.

I’m not comfortable making a donation online. Is there another way to give?
Certainly. Please click here to download the donation form. You can mail it to us along with your check or credit card information.

I’d like to remember Selfhelp in my will. How can I get the information I need?

Does Selfhelp share or sell donor lists to other organizations?
Absolutely not. Selfhelp Community Services respects the privacy of our donors and does not disclose your name or contact information to other organizations. Our Privacy Policy explains the information we collect and how we use it.
