- Selfhelp has the largest Nazi Victim Services Program in North America, providing comprehensive services to over 5,600 victims of Nazi persecution.
- Selfhelp’s six senior residences provide affordable apartments for more than 1,000 low and moderate-income seniors in the metropolitan New York area.
- Selfhelp’s six senior centers serve approximately 8,000 senior citizens. Last year the centers served over 118,000 hot lunches and 36,700 home delivered meals.
- Selfhelp employs nearly 2,000 home care workers and staff who provide approximately 3 million hours of service annually to elderly and frail individuals and their families.
- This past year, Selfhelp Alzheimer’s Resource Program (SHARP) annually provides approximately 24,100 hours of adult day care and social activities to families at our program sites.
- Selfhelp annually provides over 4,800 hours of case management/case assistance at our four Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities (NORCs).
- The Evelyn Frank Legal Resources Program helps to raise the level of awareness of rights of the elderly They consult on over 1,300 individual cases a year.
- Selfhelp’s Community Guardian program serves as court-appointed legal guardians for more than 600 elderly clients who are unable to manage their financial or domestic affairs.
