Selfhelp NextGen

Selfhelp NextGen was created by a group of young professionals in the metropolitan New York area in 2010 to bring the ideals of Selfhelp Community Services to the next generation of supporters. We invite you to learn more about our programs and join us in helping to build a better tomorrow for the clients Selfhelp serves. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of thousands of New Yorkers.

Mission Statement
Selfhelp NextGen will build upon the achievements of Selfhelp’s founders by expanding the base of support to a new generation. Through outreach, education, volunteerism and fundraising, Selfhelp NextGen members will advance Selfhelp’s mission of maintaining the independence and dignity of seniors and at-risk populations, with a particular focus on serving as the “last surviving relative” to victims of Nazi persecution.

Vision Statement

To build a community of young professional who through active involvement and financial commitment will help support and further our mission.

Goals

  • To build a community of activists and volunteers committed to advancing Selfhelp's mission.
  • To offer engaging events and volunteer opportunities.
  • To raise critical financial support for Selfhelp's clients through charitable donations.
