Selfhelp Alzheimer?s Resource Program

Senior Source clients suffering from dementia or the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease are encouraged to become part of Selfhelp Alzheimer’s Resource Program (SHARP) in Queens. Our Adult Day Care Center provides nurturing communities and engaging programs along with nourishing hot meals and snacks. This center also offers some of the newest technologies being used in the treatment of patients with Alzheimer’s disease. Selfhelp’s professional and compassionate staff members will help seniors participate in cognitive stimulation activities and computer-based brain activities tailored to their individual needs and abilities.

At Senior Source we understand that caring for a parent or relative with Alzheimer’s can be an exhausting, grueling and frightening experience. SHARP also offers ongoing emotional support for caregivers by providing individual, group and family counseling.
